The state government had given information about the missing children in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The state government has given these figures for the year 2019 to 2021 in the written question of the Congress MLAs. 9 children are missing every day in the state, 10 thousand children are missing in 3 years, the highest number of 629 children is missing in Surat in one year. In the last three years, 10 thousand 92 children have gone missing in the state, out of which 9085 children have been recovered. To date, 1007 children have not been identified. The government says it is investigating by forming separate teams to find the children.

So many children were missing in this city in the state

In the year 2021, 629 children went missing in Surat city, 338 in Ahmedabad city and then 142 in Gandhinagar. During the same period, 506 children were returned from Surat, 293 from Ahmedabad city and 117 from Gandhinagar. 104 children were missing in Vadodara city, 123 in Mehsana district, 104 in Banaskantha, 121 in Kheda district, 132 in Dahod district and 131 in Bharuch district.

Teams are formed to find the children

The government says it is investigating by forming separate teams to find the children. The children’s home is regularly inspected. The drive is also organized by Missing Cell and CID Crime. Orders are often issued by superiors to locate children. Thus, adequate efforts are said to be made by the system to get the missing children back. In most cases the children are returned.

In 2020, 7673 women went missing in the state

In the Legislative Assembly, the Home Department has presented information that in the year 2020, a total of 7673 women went missing in Gujarat for some reason, out of which 6528 women returned. 1145 women are missing from the state. In a single year, 1870 women went missing in Ahmedabad, out of which 974 women were recovered. Similarly, 12166 women went missing in Surat, out of which 988 were found. In Vadodara, 327 women went missing, out of which 291 were found. Out of 296 missing women in Mehsana, 272 have been identified.
